‘Awakening’ is a Churches Together event, exploring the Easter story through drama, music, scripture, multimedia, video and dance and is an ideal opportunity to invite 'unchurched' friends and family of all ages.
‘Awakening’ has been prepared by the Seymour Road Worship team, and is the third in a series of Easter productions following on from successful presentations of ‘Happy Day’ (2008) and ‘True Love’ (2009). ‘Awakening’ explores the Easter story from the point of one of the Roman guards involved in executing Jesus crucifixion.
‘Awakening’ will feature one of the finest young worship bands in the country, under the creative direction of Ben Marshall, who has appeared at Grapevine and Spring Harvest and worked with the Dave Bell Band and the Marshall Band.
After the Good Friday premiere at Hucknall Central Methodist Church the presentation will be repeated at West Bridgford on Saturday 3rd April and Kirby Muxloe on Easter Sunday.
